The Walk to Cure Diabetes is a fundraising and awareness campaign that brings the community together to celebrate their contribution to finding a cure. Each year a Walk event is held in most state capital cities as well as in many regional areas.

• It's your day - The Walk is a day when people with type 1 diabetes can feel extra special. Witnessing the enormous show of support from tens of thousands of walkers is an empowering experience
• Meet other families - At every Walk there is the opportunity to meet other people who are affected by type 1 diabetes
• Anyone can get involved - Diabetes does not just affect one person, it impacts their family and friends as well. The Walk gives friends and families the chance to get involved and make a difference too.
• It's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' - Research will find a cure for type 1 diabetes but we need your help
